Understanding How Google Search Works

Google understands what information users are seeking through its system. The Google search engine strives to provide the most accurate results possible with its algorithm, which processes billions of queries every day.

How does Google filter its content? The best way to find out the answer, as an SEO expert, is to follow the same steps that Google advocates. In order to find relevant information, you use Google's algorithm, which sifts through its platform. Therefore, Google's algorithm allows users to get the most relevant results based on their search.

SOURCES OF INFORMATION ON GOOGLE INCLUDE:

  • Web pages
  • Google My Business and Maps allow users to submit content
  • Book scanning
  • Public databases that can be accessed online
  • Images, videos, and many more sources can be found online.

From a web page, Google generates search results by following three basic steps:

Step 1:  Crawling

When you enter a query/question, it will find out what pages are available on the web. In the absence of a central registry, it continually adds new websites to its database. Using SEO fundamentals, Google knows pretty well what has already been crawled on the web.

Search engines crawl and spider your website to learn what keywords, web pages, descriptions, etc., you use. In order to return better search results, Google Spiders visit pages previously visited by the user. Google does not let you pay to rank higher or get your site indexed.

Step 2: Indexing

Once a page has been discovered, Google understands the data on that page. Video, images, and catalogs are scanned by Google. The indexing process is how Google collects information and organizes it into a massive database. Then anyone can access digital marketing training, even if they have never taken a digital marketing course.

Step 3: Ranking

In response to a search, Google scans the indexed pages and displays the most relevant ones. Search engine factors language, location, and device into its results.

For instance, people in India and people living in the USA would receive different results when searching for a keyword like “restaurants near me”. Let's take a look at how the search results differ. According to the SEO fundamentals, they are ranked programmatically.

Search results are delivered by Google after a straightforward but complicated process. Pursuing a PG in digital marketing helps understand SEO to a great extent.

Describing The Process Of Search Engines Crawling The Web

First, Google uses 'spiders' to look for new information on the Web. This is a small program or bot that searches the Web for new information. From the titles to the text on each page, the spider examines your website to determine who you are, what you do, and whether anyone would be interested in viewing it.

It might seem simple at first glance but truth be told, with an advanced digital marketing training you can begin to streamline your website as per recommendations by Google. Today there are over 1.8 billion websites online, and thousands of new ones are being created every day. Coming back to our topic of discussion, finding new data, recording it, and storing it (accurately) in a database are the initial challenges by Google.

As soon as someone types a query into the search box, the company determines how best to display the information from its database. There is, however, a scaling issue. Each day, Google conducts over 3.5 billion searches, and the number continues to grow. With a PG in digital marketing SEO fundamentals begin to fall in place.

By matching users' actual search terms, the information displayed is more likely to be relevant, and it is easy for people with training in digital marketing to understand such concepts after formal education.
